At Southold, we didn’t come to Bordeaux to follow rules—we came to make great wines. Nestled in the Francs Côtes de Bordeaux appellation, our vineyard sits on clay-limestone soils, home to Bordeaux staples like Merlot and Cabernet Franc. But we also dare to push boundaries with varieties like Albariño and Xarello, blending the familiar with the unexpected.

We farm with intention, avoiding chemical shortcuts with fertilizers, herbicides, or pesticides. Our vines, some over 60 years old, thrive in this natural environment, free to express the wild, unpredictable beauty of this place. In the cellar, we embrace simplicity: minimal intervention, allowing terroir and fruit to lead the way.

Producing painfully small quantities each year, our focus is on crafting wines that balance reverence for tradition with a bold reimagining of what Bordeaux can be. Each cuvée is a testament to this land’s soul, a blend of the old and the new, and a reflection of what excites us most.
